Pintail duck Management Plan in Italy

Increase Italian population size of pintail ducks. Imposition of bag limits. Creation and conservation of wetlands and lagoons by the hunting community.

Bag survey data studied. Enforcement of hunting season. Appropriate management and conservation of wetlands is supported. Annual census of wintering population carried out.

National ringing surveys and study of past ringing data. Hunters voluntarily play a key role in the preservation of coastal wetlands in the Northern Adriatic, and are obliged to do so elsewhere.
