Wildlife protectors in Tirol

To reduce wildlife crime by legally making the employment of a professional hunter or gamekeeper mandatory. The person entitled to hunt is required to appoint a gamekeeper or professional hunter.

This gamekeeper is legally allowed to search individuals and vehicles for evidense of wildlife crimes, to arrest persons committing wildlife crimes and to kill domestic dogs and cats that pose threats to wildlife. The person entitled to hunt is required to appoint a gamekeeper or professional hunter.
