For the period of operation of the National Programme the Bulgarian nature has been enriched with 1,644,075 farm produced birds of the species – Phasianus colchicus, Perdix perdix, Alectoris chukar, Anas platyrhynchos and 312 individuals of the species – Cervus elaphus, Dama dama, Ovis musimon, Sus scrofa.
Also, under the Programme, the construction of 228 biotechnical facilities has been finalised, whose purpose is to ensure conditions for adaptation of the farm produced birds to the natural environment before they are released in nature so as to ensure their survival. In order to establish the survivability, rings are fitted to the birds.
