WildForestReindeerLIFE: The wild forest reindeer (Rangifer tarandus fennicus) of Finland: Conservation and recovery of historic range

(1): The reintroductions and reinforcements are carried out via soft releases (on-site enclosure with extended periods of breeding and acclimatization), and hunters will voluntarily participate in taking care of the enclosed herds during the project. (2): Hunters will voluntarily gather data for a new field census method of the target species. (3) Individual hunters will be recruited as seasonal wardens to assist official Game Wardens in surveillance across the target species occurrence range.
