To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary in 2015, the FIDC section of Ravenna has produced a publication that describes the origin of a very important protected area for the territories of Ravenna: Punte Alberete. The publications aims to divulgate not only the history but also the management of the area from the past to the present and was presented to local Institution, to hunters and local schools to demonstrate the benefits of good practice of habitat management for a lot of species. I underline that hunters were not directly involved in management of area but they had a strong and documented dialog with institution that wanted to reclaim the area: hunters had a voluntary hunting ban in the area and they made a petition to ask that protection of the area due to his importance for local species recovery. The purpose of the project is to show how hunters have in high regard the territory and disseminate correct environmental education and the benefits of good conservation practices both to new hunters and towards local institutions and the all public. The Federcaccia of Ravenna, however, wants to seize, and make his own, the political line of the national Federcaccia environmentally and socially. A line that moves steadily and belief to scientific research, without which every opinion, individual or group on wildlife and the environment, is without foundation.
