As part of the Nature Contract on the Saint-Coulban Black Marsh developed together with the Brittany Region, the Fédération des Chasseurs d’Ille et Vilaine has set up a database reporting on observations made by naturalist experts and the Federation’s technical department.
Fauna and flora inventories are recorded in digital format and accompanied by GPS coordinates. Standardised species monitoring allows to identify malfunctions such as pollution, species extinction, presence of invasive species, etc.
It also allows to point out trends in the evolution of the marsh, as well as its functioning and, the adequacy of management measures with the conservation of the site.
