OZ ZELEŇ was established as non govermental organization by a few hunters, who wanted to support the increase of biodiversity of lowlands in Slovakia.
Since 2017, OZ ZELEŇ provides informative material and financial support for the hunting parties in Slovakia, which are interested in increasing the biodiversity of their managed countryside.
OZ ZELEŇ provides information about the land law status and possible ways of working with the land in cooperation with the owners, started the project of monitoring the Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix) (results are then transferred into the BirdLife Slovakia system of the reports of birds observations), running the project Live Meadows which gives opportunity to farmers, hunters and volunteers to cooperate for the protection of wildlife during the annual harvesting of the grasslands in May/June, as well as planting trees into the old and yet incomplete windshields in the fields and supporting hunting parties by delivering seeds mix to be sow to increase biodiversity of the lowlands.
With our parther, the Slovak hunting chamber, we (OZ ZELEŇ) work together on cooperation between all participating parties of the lowlands country management: www.zivaluka.sk – www.ozzelen.sk
