Since 1996, this joint network between the National Hunting and Wildlife Office (ONCFS), the National and Departmental Hunters’ Federations (FNC, FDC) has been monitoring the breeding populations of 17 bird species on an annual national basis using the listening point method. Since 2000, using the “flash” counting method in January, the national wintering populations of 13 species have been monitored.
