Moose (Alces alces) counting/monitoring for population estimation. Goal: get knowledge of moose population and trends in all areas. The monitoring report (in future: only electronic system) is given to every hunting group. They report all observations and estimation of population present in area.
Information from those reports is combined with other moose research, e.g. flight surveys. Goal: get knowledge of moose population and trends in all areas. During the hunting season, results are already used to set how to use the last hunting licences.
In future, there will be an electronic application. monitoring mainly done by hunters but not coordinated by the Association
