The Loire is the last wild river in France. On the first Saturday of March each year 12 FDC’s from the whole length of the Loire collect rubbish from the banks of the river. Extensive cleaning of the 1000 km of the river from source to estuary before they arrive to the sea or they begin to pollute the river. In 2013 800 cubic metres of rubbish were collected. This action aims also to increase population’s awarness and change behavior. Other stakeholder associations also involved.
