Ensuring conservation of wolves in co-existence with humans by identification of interest groups and participants and focusing on joint decision-making Research into the Croatian wolf population, monitoring of it and its prey species; Distribution of 96 Tornjak guardian dogs to shepherds; Establishment of 45 electric fences; Creation and distribution of education material regarding wolves and Tornjak guardian dogs, as well as work with schools; Development of the Croatian Wolf Management Plan Country hunters’ associations (namely the counties of Dubrovnik-Neretva, Lika-Senj, Split?Dalmatia and ?ibenik-Knin) and the Croation Hunters’ Association were involved in the joint decision-making and the formation of the Croation Wolf Management Plan; Hunters worked alongside foresters in the monitoring of wolf populations and their prey.
